About
We’re a small non-profit organization, serving in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Our mission is simple…
“Sharing Christ by Serving Others.”
We have a two-fold ministry– to the Haitian people and to short-term mission teams.
Ministry to the Haitian People:
-
We collaborate with local leaders to foster safety and opportunity in their already-established communities. We replace post-earthquake tents with small homes and assist in other ways if possible. Examples of other services include funding well drilling, constructing church or school buildings, and providing short-term medical clinics.
-
We operate a guesthouse aimed at serving the Haitian population to provide an affordable, safe, family friendly atmosphere for those attending trainings, meetings, appointments, or spending time with family in our area.
-
SIF's fulltime staff evangelist and community coordinator Junior Cineas, works in the local communities. Holding weekly Bible studies, investing in the local churches, discipling youth and young adults and meeting the spiritual needs of those working and living in the communities SIF serves.
-
We engage with local communities to build relationships and provide for physical needs, like school supplies, hand washing stations, and home repairs.
Partnership with Haitian-led organizations:
-
We partner with Haitian-led Christian ministries to plan and/or build their facilities. Our goal is to enhance their effectiveness in serving their own people.
-
We partner with other local ministries serving the Haitian population to come alongside them and help meet their physical, electrical, and construction needs.
Ministry to Short-Term Mission Teams:
-
We facilitate week-long mission trips from US churches. We aim to grow each team member’s understanding of God and His mission on earth. We provide training materials to prepare the heart and mind for service in Haiti. During the trip, we help team members process their experiences, often addressing false beliefs, wounds, and sin which have previously hindered their walk with the Lord. We want individuals to return to the US ready to engage their own culture for Christ.

If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs,
what good is it?
James 2:16
